LMW - Composer/Arranger for vamp vocals

It all started when…

The world came to a halt in March 2020, and I found myself with no singing work for the foreseeable future. The one musical outlet left was VAMP, a brand new vocal quintet of Austin friends that was supposed to start rehearsing the week everything shut down due to Covid. We decided to meet up as planned, but for safety reasons, we rehearsed in a parking garage, standing 20 feet apart.

As we developed as an ensemble, we found it challenging to find repertoire written for 5 treble voices - and that inspired me to take a leap I never anticipated; I began composing. Over the past 3 years, I have written nearly a dozen pieces for VAMP, and have received multiple commissions for new works to be composed in the coming year.
